Resilience Through Advanced Recovery and Mitigation Techniques

OVERVIEW

From June 17 - 21, 2025, we hosted a Canadian delegation for the project Resilience Through Advanced Recovery and Mitigation Techniques. This program brought together professionals in mining policy, environmental restoration, and indigenous leadership to explore innovative approaches to environmental resilience and disaster recovery. In New Orleans, participants engaged with local leaders and organizations - including Delgado’s Maritime and Industrial Training Center, the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center, the United Houma Nation, The Water Institute, and the Deep Blue Institute - to learn about community-led environmental solutions, coastal restoration, and sustainable economic development across South Louisiana.
