Tales From Travelers

In November 2025, Global New Orleans welcomed a delegation of content creators from the Philippines as part of their national Road to 250 tour, in collaboration with Spirit of America and America250. The group met with historians and museum leaders at the Historic New Orleans Collection, connected with Filipino American cultural leader Carolyn Sideco and Professor Randy Gonzales of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and gathered with partners at the Nous Foundation in the French Quarter.
A highlight of the exchange took place at the National WWII Museum and the Sanderson Leadership Center, where participants met World War II veterans and thanked them for their service, including Ogden Saik, Sam Meyer, and Kenneth Karl Schubring Sr.
Local partners opened their doors and shared their stories, showing how professionals can connect, learn, and imagine a shared future—together.

In November 2025, Global New Orleans partnered on a Global Concierge program for international English language educators attending the ACTFL Annual Convention. The experience placed language teaching within the city’s layered cultural landscape shaped by French, Spanish, African, Caribbean, and Indigenous influences.
Participants joined guided visits to Jackson Square, Congo Square, historic cemeteries, the Garden District, and the Mississippi River corridor, along with a traditional Creole lunch and a guided swamp tour. Throughout the week, Global New Orleans supported logistics and created space for educators to connect and experience New Orleans as a living classroom.
